dsc04506

Congratulations to the Ashley School Council for 2013:  Josh, Megan, Quinn, Jake, Molly-Kate, Clemintine, Luke and Aleisha.

What Is a School Council?

A school council is group of students who are elected to represent the views of all pupils and to improve their school.

What Does a School Council Do?

A school council does a number of things:  The school council meets with our Room 2 teacher Clare Mutch, once a week, to discuss and bring ideas from their classmates to the meeting about how they want the school to be improved.

These may include school lunches, ideas for fundraising events and working with the PTA to help with school events, e.g. School Disco.

How Can I Get On the School Council Next Year?

You will need to be a year 7 or 8 student who shows leadership skills, empathy for others, organisational skills, inititive and have a positive attitude.  You will be chosen by the teachers.
