Get Matthew to Singapore

Matthew Walesby, a student in Rakau, has a condition called cerebral palsy. His ability to speak is improving as he gets older with help at home and school.  He is incredibly smart and is willing to learn.  He also has an amazing sense of humour.

During the Christmas holidays, Matthew will travel to Singapore with his mum and dad, to get specialist treatment which he has been offered for free. The treatment will help with his ability to speak and to control his muscles.

The School Council has organised two events so that we can assist with funds for the family.

Friday 1st December 2017

Time:  2.00PM

This will be a really fun way of getting our whole school community together with Matthew to raise some extra funds, simply by walking around the school field!

All students will soon receive a sponsorship card to ask people (neighbours, parents, friends etc) to sponsor them for walking, or to make a donation.

In doing that, they will be supporting Matthew’s trip to Singapore for his treatment.

If there are any questions, please approach the school council.
